Your capacity to recognize them v. strongly suggests that the brain does use, as I suggest, figurative thinking, relying on fluid, holistic figures. (And endless further examples can be produced). .I don't think search of a pre-existing or pre-definable set of options *will* work here or for any AGI (vs narrow AI) problem (somewhat as Valentina indicated) - where do you think search will work?
