Brad:Language is how we "record analog human experience in digitized
format."
It's not (natural/direct) recording. It's literally fragmenting a continuous
integrated set of images into *artificial* pieces.Artificial conceptual
bricks.
And so are all the languages of rationality - logic, arithmetic/algebra.
"2 + 2= 4"
"If a then b"
"The dog bit the man on the face."
"Dog," "man", "face" are all artificial concepts. Like "2" and "4".
These are piecemeal ways of looking at, and thinking about the world. And
only one level of intelligence.
Contrast that with imaginative, holistic, "embodied" intelligence:

Kinda different?
P.S. Re music - it's fairly obvious that visual images are holistic, but
have you thought about how music's sound images are? The paradox is that we
hear music moment by moment, and yet we also hear it as sequences - and I
haven't thought much about this. For example, when I'm listening to my mp3
player on automatic play, I usually know aurally the notes of what tune's
coming next, even though I couldn't immediately verbally tell you its title.
