This may be true for older individuals who have gathered a large
amount of previous knowledge about the world, but reconstruction of 3D
from 2D does not necessarily require a large knowledge base, only some
physical properties of the system such as estimates of how it is
moving in space which can be measured by proprioception, optical flow,
etc.
