Removing the multi-parent capability in the new backlog and making it the default (let alone the apparent Firefox issues) seems like a risky move to me. At the moment I am stuck manually modifying the URLs to my backlog links in order to keep using the backlogs.
As far as I know the multi-parents problem will solved in one off the next minor releases. Sorry for the inconvenience.
