How do you make a qmod?
Also I found a 400kb file that was called quakewars.qmod.
It came as a zip but had an error, file is not zip file, I renamed it
to qmod and it said no ini.
How do you make a qmod?
Sounds good.

Hi Shaun, that's the great thing about the format. It's native
to Audio Quake and you don't need any special program at all. You
simply double click or press enter on the .qmod file anywhere on
your hard drive, and it installs itself immediately into your copy
of Audio Quake. So that when you then choose the "Play an Audio
Quake Mod" option from the Audio Quake launcher main menu, you will
then get a list of the mods you have installed along with the
options to hear more about them or play them etc.
You can then simply switch back to your original Audio Quake game
if you'd like. It's your choice.
Anyway, It's super simple!
Have a wonderful evening and catch ya on the flip!...

qmod form would be ok.
What by the way is qmod?
Sounds interesting.
And how would you install a package made with qmod support?
Do you need a special program for it?

Hi Shaun et al...
The future packages will be in QMod format but I'm just
wondering if you'd all like this current one as a QMod file or not?
Also, the QMod system allows me to assign key bindings and
aliases for you automatically so you won't have to do it
yourself, unless of course you'd like to. <smile>
So if you'd like I'll go ahead and post the latest package in
QMod form tomorrow, unless anyone would like me to leave the
present package up there for a little while longer if they need
to download it and for whatever reason, would like that
particular format that it's presently in....
Have a wonderful evening! and chat with y'all soon!...

I think its a good idea to have qmod.
It would be good for an autoinstaller.
It would also be good if keys were automatically defined for each thing.
I could load single player mods for single player then load the
deathmods with the tornts system for dm games.
quakewars sounds quite good.
I think someone should make a starwars quake only server, that
would really rock.

Hi All, I'm wondering, would any of
you be interested in the latest Mod Pack 3.7 in QMod
format? What this means for you, as Matthew mentioned, is that
you can install mods by simply running one file which entirely
automates the installation process, and also allows you to have
multiple mods installed at once. You can then simply switch
between them from a menu structure at the Audio Quake Launcher.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough space on the current
download site to place both packages there for you, so until
TBRN is back up with a download site for me, I'll leave it up to you.
Please also remember, this is the full deathmatch version, and
still will not currently work in single player mode. Just to
remind you. From your feedback, until I can come up with a more
satisfactory solution, I'll create two versions of future
packages, for single player, and deathmatch.
Also, I've thought of the name, Quake Wars, for this series of
mods, playing on the Star Wars idea. What do you think?... <smile>
Any thoughts?...

MG
