Hi Ken et al'

I'm not sure you're all understanding me. <smile> will try to be a bit clearer. My apologies...

Even if I were to eliminate the taunts and all of the various messages completely, at this point, the mod still would not run in single player mode, as there are now, too many other new sounds aside from all of the taunts and such. If it did run at all, it may manage a couple of maps, and not predictably so.

Even as it was with version 3.8, two maps still had trouble loading and that was with quite a few less sounds and no taunts at all. So does this make sense now?...

It's really come to the time when an actual solution needs to be found rather than a band-aid so to speak. <smile> Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the prob and why it occurs, to do anything about it at this point. I wish I could, but I can't. Again, my apologies, and any insights anyone might have, as always, would certainly be appreciated.
  Have a great day!...

Smiles,

Cara

What happens if you remove the tornts system, in single player you don't need it nore the death message system.
That will previde a temp solution.

Am wondering about the precache function, in that I'm questioning if I remove the sound precaches for Jedi Quake so that they are not called by worldspawn, might this solve the sound issue for single player mode not seeming to have enough resources either to run / store all of the necessary sounds for the game?

Is this even possible to precache sounds this way? The game seems to be a bit particular when and how its sounds and such are precached.

I'm also wondering what the best way to do this is? Any help would be most appreciated...

 Thanks so much!...

Cara
