Think of it this way: You need to solve the same problems we also need to try to solve. So, you have options: #1. If you do it on your own, your solution will probably end up incomplete and be specific towards only your needs and probably not go anywhere long term and really no one wins. If you also think about it, your solution will be just as bleeding edge as our solution. #2. If you wait for us to solve the problems, then you are going to wait until we get around to it. #3.
