just my opinion of course.when i first started working on cars in the 70's i
would retorque.for the last maybe 20 or so years i've stopped
retorqueing.never been disapointed either way.

Brother Raccoons:

A quick, serious question, non-Alfa. I'm replacing the head gasket on my
other car, a Mitsubishi Mirage, and I've forgotten the typical rules of thumb
for retorquing. Should I retorque the head with the engine hot, or after it
cools back down? I remember that on my GTV6, Fred D. recommended bringing the
engine up to temp and then retorquing hot. What do you guys do?
