I meant to say would OEM "shocks" provide a more cushioned ride, or is
the GTV-6 just a
harder ride than the Milano? --sorry

Bruce,

I'm confused, what's the difference between 'stock' springs and 'OEM'
springs? Did you mean to say 'torsion bars' somewhere?

I've driven stock GTV6's, stock Milanos, and both with stiffer suspensions.
In my opinion a GTV6 with a stock suspension and Koni Reds shouldn't give a
harsh ride. Did you swap the torsion bars back to stock? What about the
sway bars? What bushings are you using?

There's also a pretty good chance that the sidewalls on the Kuhmo's is a
bit
stiffer than the original P6's that came with the GTV6. That might be
contributing. Are you using the stock 15x6 wheels?

Would help to know the complete suspension setup, including how much the
car
might have been lowered.

Subject: [alfa] GTV-6 Suspension questions

I have now down-graded by GTV-6 tires from performance 205/50s to the
stock
195/60 Kuhmo ECSTAs for comfort/ride. The car has stock springs and Koni
reds adjusted to soft. The ride is definitely softer, but seems harsher
than
my old stock Milano Verde.

Would OEM springs provide a more cushioned ride, or is the GTV-6 just a
harder ride than the Milano?

Thanks for any suggestions. I'm hoping to get my '74 GTV on track next
year.
