I just installed a fresh Bosch rebuilt alternator in my Alfetta GT. I had
charged the battery up while installing - of course with the pos. cable off. It
read 13.5 at the alternator before starting, but only 13.87 when revving the
engine. I got 14.2 on the old one at just a high idle before it went bad. Alt.
light went out immediately once started.

I used the same pulley - the rebuilt one came with out one. Belt is tight (and
in good condition).

I need to run errands but will stop by the Interstate guys on the way out to
have them check the battery (again).

Thoughts? I sure don't want to send it back. I've been carless for a week.

I'll check it again when I get back.
