If you noodle around a bit--there are ADJUSTABLE regulators available
for the Bosch alternators which have the regulator mounted ON the
alternator---
I don't know how much 'droop' (control engineering speak) they allow
before kicking in fully, but you can definitely adjust the output
voltage over a reasonable range, and they will hold it within about .1 ,
perhaps .05 v.
