Unfortunately, he didn't----but since the engine does cycle up and down at
idle, I'm going to experiment! If you see a GTV-6 flying over your head, I
overdid it.

Alan,
Unless the former owner marked the original position with a dab of
paint (as Eric mentions in his L-Jet tutorial), I don't know of any way to
determine what it was. I marked mine so that I could determine where I was.
There wer several times where I lost control of the spring and I would have
been hosed if I didn't have that mark.

Hi Again Alfisti,
My first email had the results of my California Smog Test badly
garbled (as I had feared). Thanks to all who
provided suggestions and inputs. I didn't notice any driveablity
problems by making the AFM setting 3 and 7 notches lean. That's
probably because these are minute changes in the air fuel mixture
compared to the rich-lean adjustment range that can be obtained in a
carbureted car.
I hope this time the results are more readable.
