A search of the Internet turned up no answers to my questions about the
GTV-6 mirror motors. There were several inquiries going back to 2007, but no
solutions. So, my questions are:
1. Is there a replacement for the GTV-6 mirror motor (will Spider or
Milano units work)?
2. The motor clicks when the switch is moved in all four directions, but
the mirror doesn't move. Is there a cleaning process that someone knows
about?
3. I have the motor out of the housing, but I don't know how to remove the
plastic pieces. Has anyone had that experience?
4. Is there a diagram of the motor and its components available.
5. Is there a recommended substance for halting a crack in the housing
pivot point?
I looked into replacement/aftermarket mirrors, but didn't see any that
would fit and look good. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
