[alfa] lube for slow windows?

I have to replace a window lifter myself (I
have one) How difficult a job is
it?--Re the lube--
you could try using
paraffin--get it at a supermarket-- with the door panel
off, you can rub the
block (you'll have to trim it down first) in the channel.
This won't mess
anything up. You can also rub it in the channel above the
door.

Best
regards,

On another subject, the passenger side
window of the GTV 6 is pretty slow.
I suspect there needs to be some kind of
lube in the window tracks that
guide it up. With the least bit of finger
pressure helping it along, it seems
much happier going up. Is there a non
destructive spray I can put on there
to see if this is all it needs? On
another GTV 6, I changed the motor in
the door, so I have an idea of what's
inside. Before I go looking in there,
it just seems like a 26 year old
mechanism that's never been lubed is the
most likely place to start.
