Hi,
The iPhone app does have the capability to record, as I understand
it, but again, only Skype conversations, not skype to phone or phone to
skype. I hope I'm missing something, but it looks like that's how it is.

Okay thanks. I guess I assumed the app would have the same capability.

it seems like Skype recently implemented it's own built in recorder. Again
just have been recently researching this so could have read it wrong.

more standard VOIP applications, on the iPhone. If the app, like Skype,
doesn't have a recording function built-in, is there a way of recording it
without external hardware? I know what you say below, Mr. Wright, is talking
about Windows machine, and there is never a problem in recording from
Windows machines, whether with Skype or any other VOIP application. I'm
interested in mobile recording, though, iPhone preferred, but Android also
available.
