The Calc document stays "unmodified" until the cell edit mode is left. This
would be a situation where the changed behavior of the "Save" button would be an
improvement.

This is an ancient bug in Calc. Only Writer is able to handle that correctly -
for whatever reason. Enabling the button always to "mask" this bug would be
lame. ;-)
