StarOffice 9 / OpenOffice - BUG:
The spellchecker in StarOffice 9 doesn't work properly. Some small parts of the
text that I am editing are checked properly: here the spellchecker also
indicates the formatted language correctly. But for most parts of the same text
the spellchecker wrongly tells me that the text (with incorrectly spelled words)
would be ok -- and for these parts the spellchecker indicates no language (here
it indicates nothing at all). I have checked the formatting of these parts of
the text again: the language is formatted here as well. By the way: with the
same text there are no problems in StarOffice 8.
And I looked up openoffice.org: I noticed, that a user of OpenOffice have got
the same problem (posted earlier in 2009, but not reported as a bug).
If this bug cannot be corrected quickly, I would have to downgrade to StarOffice
8 again, and then I should wait, until there is an upgrade available.
I am working with the licensed product StarOffice 9, it's a payed license. But
the StarOffice Support is too complicated, so I prefer to report the bug here at
OpenOffice(as it's the same program code -- I shouldn't have bought the new
StarOffice license in the first place). By the way: I am working with StarOffice
for many years now, so I am an experienced user.
Thank you in advance for solving this problem.
Klaus
