awake."  Anne,  You shouldn't feel insulted by that gentleman nodding off 
during your talks.  The fact that he chose to sit in the front row indicates 
that he was keenly interested in hearing what you had to say.    Speaking from 
my own experience, I, too, have a hard time staying awake during lectures.  It 
doesn't matter how interesting I find the material or the speaker.  The same 
thing happens to me at home in the evening when I'm trying to absorb 
information from a nature program on television.  My intentions are NOT to doze 
but I'm powerless to prevent it.  It is possible that gentleman is like me and 
learns best from the written, rather than the spoken, word.  Jane
