I have also used Chamomile tea as a pre-sowing drench for seed pots,
and never had damping off, but I also have not had problems on

As an organic chemist, I'd point out that cinnamaldehyde quickly
oxidizes to cinnamic acid in contact with air, so powdered cassia as
a timed release makes more sense. Eugenol is much more stable
