Does anyone have any tips on growing Kalmiopsis leachiana? I planted a small plant last spring in sandy soil and compost, watered it in the spring, then stopped in the fall. It did not make it through the winter. I'd like to try again. How much cold can it take?
Carolyn Poff Strong Zone 8 -------------------------------------------------------------- Kalmiopsis grows only in a few places in the Siskiyous, in sites that get spring runoff and then are pretty dry. Several rock gardeners in Oregon grow it outdoors with an insousiance most trying to me in my more sodden climate.
