I have Cyp. parviflorum? that I bought to NEWFS Garden in the Woods...for $65 several years ago...but I've never brought myself to buy C. reginae...C. acaule grows about the woods here naturally...The Cyp. parviflorum was planted in a well drained site in almost full sun against a stone wall...and is doing great...with the house on the market and possible foreclosure I don't dare endanger any further plants to loss due to ignorance of future owners...

They all like good humusy/woodsy soil, moisture in the spring and a fairly dry summer and good drainage in the winter. The biggest challenge will be getting them, but if you can do that you're sure to be able to grow them. I have them all here in Ontario, Canada, zone 4 and hot humid summers.
