Yes, all the devices are there: crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 0 Dec 16 09:21 controlC0 crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 4 Dec 16 09:21 hwC0D0 crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 8 Dec 16 09:21 midiC0D0 crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 24 Dec 16 09:21 pcmC0D0c crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 16 Dec 16 09:21 pcmC0D0p crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 25 Dec 16 09:21 pcmC0D1c crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 26 Dec 16 09:21 pcmC0D2c crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 19 Dec 16 09:21 pcmC0D3p crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 33 Dec 16 09:21 timer Should I make them executable? I thought reading/writing should be fine? (you might need to give the options "device_uid=" and > "device_gid=" to the "snd" module) Um... lost you a bit here... my total linux experience is one month, so I am afraid I have no idea how to give the options to the snd module - if I am not mistaken, they are user and group ID, but how do they apply to the module? Do they need values? Pardon my ignorance and thank you for your time :) ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility Learn to use your power at OSDN's High Performance Computing Channel http://hpc.devchannel.org/ _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
