Here are instructions for the snd-es18xx module: http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=ESS+Technology&card=ES18xx&chip=ES18xx&module=es18xx The alsa-driver-1.0.0rc2.tar.bz2 file contains the source code for all the supported soundcards but you can compile just the modules you need.
