After much teeth gnashing, I ended up abandoning my SuSE install, and loaded Fedora Core 1. I have some nice RPMs already made up and installed. But following the instuctions, I have run across another problem. The involve the use of modinfo and modprobe. As I result, I am unable to run the command: modprobe snd-es18xx;modprobe snd-pcm-oss;modprobe snd-mixer-oss;modprobe snd-seq-oss as the install instructions specify. Without it, I'm still without functional sound... I'm told that these commands are *supposed* to be built into Fedora. Any suggestions?
