I'm now further along in my install on the laptop than I was before... I have the drivers, libraries, and utilities installed. I've downloaded and unpacked the tools package in case I need to compile them.
(Fortunately, installing on Fedora is a lot more painless than with SuSE.) I'm at the point where I need to run the modprobe commands. From the documentation: Now insert the modules into the kernel. modprobe snd-es18xx;modprobe snd-pcm-oss;modprobe snd-mixer-oss;modprobe snd-seq-oss So I cd'd to /sbin and have ran: [EMAIL PROTECTED] sbin]# ./modprobe snd-es18xx modprobe: Can't locate module snd-es18xx [EMAIL PROTECTED] sbin]# Any thoughts as to what the next step I should try?
