Sound troubles are likely caused by pulseaudio, which doesn't play well with java. The only way I've found to disable this on ubuntu is to make the daemon not executable: # chmod -x /usr/bin/pulseaudio Then kill it # killall pulseaudio and now it shouldn't be able to restart. > I am use to apt-get and installing from source, ./configure, make make > install. But this install has me baffled. I'd hope you wouldn't need this given the distribution-independent package. The java code should work on pretty much any Linux distribution. -- [email protected]
