WOW! That helped a lot! I am now able to reliably see the Telemetrum or TeleDongle in the Device Selection window. The only quirk is that only about 1 time in 4 am I able to successfully connect, regardless of whether I am selecting Configure Altimeter, Monitor Idle or Monitor Flight (the last two based on the altimeter state of course). The other 3 out of 4 times, I get " Cannot open target Device Telemetrum 1000 COM4 (A device attached to the system is not functioning. (31))". When I am able to connect, I have full functionality, both to the Altimeter via USB, and to the TeleDongle. I have successfully issued several reboot commands both wired and wirelessly. Let me know if you have any thoughts on this strange intermittent behavior. Thanks for your help! I am looking forward to bringing the new computer to the launch on Saturday.
