I'm having quite a few problems with AltOs, TeleBT, and Telemetrum. computer host = MacBook Pro (laptop) running Yosemite (newest Mac OS) software version Altus UI v 1.5
situation 1. Telemetrum, AltosUI, and host computer. connect telemetrum to computer via USB. include LiPo battery. When I connect the power switch, I get a nice loud battery voltage beep (4.2). followed by mores "i" then fast beeps. red and green LEDs on steady. The Altos UI hangs during "configure altimeter", at the step "select altimeter." I've had to "force quit" at least 10 times this morning. If power cycle/reboot the telemetrum, then the UI will come back and I seem to be able to interact with the Telemetrum successfully. situation 2. TeleBT, Telemetrum, AltosUI, and host computer, all connected via USB select "configure ground station" and get error dialog "... already in use". This appears to be due to the "monitor flight" pane being open. When I close the "monitor flight" pane, then I can configure ground station. This is a minor bug, in that the error dialog could be more expressive. Of course, I don't think I should have to close the "monitor flight" pane, but that's a minor issue. situation 3. TeleBT, Telemetrum, AltosUI, and host computer, all connected via USB When I select "configure altimeter" I have the choice of the TeleBT or the Telemetrum. If I choose the TeleBT (to test the RF link), a dialog pops up, "Connecting to TeleBT-v1.0 1104 /dev/cu.usbmodem001101. Then the LEDs start (fast) flickering on the TeleBT and the Telemetrum, so clearly the TM is hearing the BT. However 95% of the time, the dialog never returns, and I have to cancel the attempt. Occasionally there is a one second cadence of the flashing LEDs, but only rarely do I get a new dialog. I have *once* been able to command the Telemetrum to reboot, but I've never seen a dialog of its settings via RF, which I expect to resemble the usb-connected dialog. The Monitor Flight dialog comes up in the Launch Pad tab, but there is no battery voltage, and the window says "Missing." Presumably because the RF connection hasn't been made. [ And I have double, triple, quadruple checked the RF channel [0], my call sign (all caps on both), the data rate (38400) ] I have run through these three situations on 9600 baud also. This morning is the first time that I have seen a dialog from the teleBT that indicates connection to the Telemetrum, in several hours worth of attempts.
