Hi,
I've been searching the archives for a solution to this, and I am
reasonably sure it has something to do with sendsize. Maybe someone
here can clarify, because I'm not *entirely* sure how this works...
Tapehost is FreeBSD 3.2 running amanda-2.4.1p1 compiled from source
Amanda client is Linux/Redhat 6.2 running samba-2.0.7 (rpm)
amanda-2.4.1p1 compiled from source
I'm backing up two partitions on the Linux box-- a local filesystem and
the samba mount from an Win2K server. The local filesystem backs up
just fine, but this is the message I get on the samba mount:
FAILURE AND STRANGE DUMP SUMMARY:
thunderbol //nitrous/backups lev 0 FAILED [disk //nitrous/backups
offline on
thunderbolt.eng.cstone.net?]
>From what I've read of previous posts, I checked out the sendsize.debug
file. I see that smbclient is run and successfully connects to the
Win2000 host. Here's the rest:

So... why does it have trouble with size?
Many thanks in advance,
Eric
