That's the reason why Amanda requires GNU tar. okay, if that is the case, what exactly is required to switch over to gnu-tar? I don't need to do it for all my file systems, but have one in particular that I'd like to use it for ... and I'm assuming that I *can* intersperse as required? ie. use both dump and gnutar methods interchangeably?
