Hello. I am writing in regards to an issue that has got me stumped with
regards to amrecover. What I would like to do is restore a backup from
a different system to my system because of disk space constraints. My
system is RedHat 7, the system that I need the backup of is RH 6.2. The
following is the output of /tmp/amanda/amindexd.debug, which shows the
entire transaction and the problem I am having.

The backup that I need restored is 20010213.sda5.0 from deepblue, and
several other backup files from 02-13-01 for the same host, as well as
some other dates. As far as I can tell, there *is* an index record for
this and all of the other files that have been backed up, as evidenced
by the files located in /var/log/amanda/DailySet1/index/deepblue/sda5,
which are 20010213_0 (0 byte file) and 20010213_0.gz. We are running
amanda 2.4.2. Any help that anyone can provide is greatly appreciated,
(and needed severely, as in the case of all backup recoveries ! 8)
