you should also look into Mondo Backup. (www.mondorescue.com, or
http://www.microwerks.net/~hugo/). it's a *very* simple tool to use, and
supports backup to CDs, tape, and disk. the really slick thing about it is
how easy it makes restores (put the CD in the drive, choose 'nuke restore'
and it restores your system to when the snapshot was taken).

it's not really a network-oriented backup solution yet (tho due to the
wonders of UNIX that can be faked pretty well); but it's pretty good at what
it does.
