How are the tarballs rotated? If they are not touched while they stay on
the NAS and the oldest one is simply deleted when a new one is pushed, I
would expect that forcing the DLE to do level 1 dumps only should be
enough. Ok, amanda will make a full dump once after the DLE has been
added to the disklist, but afterwards it should work.
