Were you specifically looking for v3.3.1? If so: as far as I know there are no plans to build an official Ubuntu package of that version for Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise). If this is what you need, then as far as I can see your best bet is to try compiling the Amanda source package taken from Quantal on your Precise machine, and using the resulting .deb files to install Amanda. (I haven't tried doing this myself, though.) If Amanda version 3.3.0 is good enough, then follow LP: #932064 to see progress toward a working amanda-server package in Precise. http://pad.lv/932064 (As a guess, I'd say a working package might be released in the next couple weeks.) Note that the Ubuntu packages configure the system differently than you'd get if you built the binaries directly from the amanda.org source code. (For example, the name of the Unix account used to own the Amanda files and processes is different.) So it's not easy to switch back and fourth between the two types of installations.
