Err, yes. I'm using it already.

But I was referring to a new 3.4.5 based package which is what this thread was about ....

I'm running Amanda on a Pi, anyone willing & able to compile a package

Huh? Its already in the raspian jessie repo's. Works fine when the
pi-3b is a client. Been using it that way for 6 or so months. It is
just 2 more entries in my disklist file here on this sever.

#$> sudo apt install amanda-client

Add 2 entries in your disklist, one for /boot, and one for /, setup an
excludes file on the pi, point to it in the recipe used in your
amanda.conf.

Use amcheck $configname and it will tell you what else to do on the pi to
make your first level 0 backup during your regular nightly session
tonight.

thanks
Markus

I have been running 3.4.5 on stretch without problems too.
Which packages?
I currently prepare a deb9 server and could use them ;-)
Is the machine amd64? Mine is i386, but I can easily recompile the
de packages for amd64.
