Ahh, my mistake.  The client from the repo is working for me.  I've had 
zero problems with a locally built 3.3.7-p1 here on this main server, 
and the packaged debs are working fine with it, so I've not had an 
excuse to try to build anything newer after the debacle 3.4.1 was, took 
me a few days to sort out THAT mess, and I wound up building a new copy 
of 3.3.7.p1 and re-installing it.  That at least built with the tools 
available on a wheezy install.
