Greets.

Well, actions have nothing to do with CTCP's at all.
An Action ie /ME blah is a PRIVMSG (/MSG).

/DESCRIBE in query windows etc should be essential the same. If AmIRC
filters these on a CTCP ignore its AmIRC that handles it wrong.

/ME is simply an alias for /PRIVMSG #SomeChannel :ACTION the action.
The only difference between a regular privmsg and /me is that you also need
to control chars in there.

/PRIVMSG #SomeChannel :(CTRL+A)ACTION the action.(CTRL+A)

So actions are not CTCP's and are not treated as CTCP's.

Just a small comment. you refer to public message and msgs as they where two
different things. They both are PRIVMSG, the only difference is that one is
sent to #SomeChannel and the other to SomeNick.

So what im saying is that there should be no problem making this work. Ive
been annoyed a few times about AmIRC not treating DESCRIBE as a message to
you so it wont open a query window if you have it set to open on messages to
you.

Anyhows i'll stop rambling now.
