Could be discussed to the point of something.. but i still dont say they are
true CTCP's.

Well, imho it is =)
AmIRC dont really treat this as a CTCP. Actions to a channel is treated
properly apparently minus in ignore situations.. however it treats describes
like notices.. thus they do not open a query window unless its already open.
Or as a CTCP whichever way you look at it, it should open a query window =)

[-BIG SNIP-]

Well, no biggie anyhows. I dont think ACTIONS qualify to be CTCP's but thats
so.
AmIRC should handle em like any other private message thou. And besides.. i
think hoping for a change in how ACTIONS are originally made is... a waste
of time to try and accomplish since it would require all IRCd's to redo
their handeling. Hence it would need to be a part of the RFC to be working.

Which brings me onto something off thread.
IRCv3

The new IRC protocol have been spoken about and discussed for as long as i
have been on the net, but i have yet to see any notes or details or webpages
for IRCv3. Seeing how there no longer exsist any real protocol that is
followed to full extent, even IRCNet who long have been praised for sticking
to the original protocol have implemented non RFC standard modes etc.
Anyone know anything at all about IRCv3?
Are there any work being done on it?
Are there any mailing lists on it?

Oh... and i'll stop posting now =)
