Was actually meaning have the Raw Log Window open in amirc, and paste 
what's sent to you, not what amirc tells you has gone wrong as that's 
not going to help ;-)

I'd need a relatively modern verion of it (probably one of the last 
public betas) to do a transparent plugin to fix this - the earlier 
versions just didn't do the right commands in the API :-/

If I get the time I'll try to get on and have a look, but using an 
earlier version of AmIRC makes it unlikely I'd actually be able to write 
a plugin that would be able to fix it for you...
