Lee????? where are you ?
we're in release mode, I though you would 'spend all your time to get amsn the best it can be', so do it, where did you disappear to, I asked in HIGH PRI that you move all the files to the SF.net server, here are (again) the instructions :
ssh -l clear_beast shell.sf.net
enter password
cd /home/groups/a/am/amsn/htdocs/new
scp site_backup.tar.gz:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ./
enter password
tar -xzvf site_backup.tar.gz

MAKE SURE YOU DO IT IN A SEPARATE DIRECTORY! htdocs/new, not directly in htdocs! this is high priority because the website needs to be tested on SF.net and not until the last minute!

one last thing, make sure your files are readable, I found some files on the shell that have clear_beast as user, and no read/write permission for groups or others...
so, please, as soon as you log in (and after the transfer) :
chmod -R u+rwX,g+rwX,o=rX /home/groups/a/am/amsn/

come on, Lee, you're talking about being serious, we have to work on this, and all that, but you're not able to do a minor thing like that, EVERY DEVEL is waiting for you, that's not team work.. release the source to SF.net servers so at least we can work on it too if you're too busy... you promised me that everything will be ready for december 23th, we're already december 23th, nothing is ready, we're not getting any help from your part... very important too, you're all talking about getting organized and everything, I'm asking you (several times already) to give me your TODO list for the website before it gets finished and ready.. you have given NO answer!! I had to create myself a todo list, trying to guess and all you did was to give feedback on some things.. you didn't add anything to the list... Also, one thing you should know is very important.. deadlines, planified work... I've read the irc logs, Sander asked you when the website will be ready, you said "I don't know", how come you give us such an answer!!! you SHOULD know! be professional for once, this is the time we need you...
give us a detailed TODO of each thing that has to be done...
for EACH thing in the tODO, give a time estimate, in minutes, hours, days, whatever is necessary, make it an estimate as close to reality as possible... (it should be everything done for tonight if you follow your promise).. for each thing, give a priority.. so we can drop some things.. we probably will drop the poll system for now as we have no time of making it perfect, nor test it (can't be there if it's not tested...)

for the rest of what you said in IRC, you said one thing :
Tjikkun: then poll doesn't work
beast: yes it does, don't listen to youness he wouldn't listen to my response about it

euh... did I miss something ? what did I say, what response you're taking about and what did I not listen to ? explain this to me, because I'm a bit surprised... everyone knows on the list that there are no surprises with me, if something is wrong you'll know it, but now, I am myself surprised you say something on me like that and I don't get what you're talking about...

anyways, ANSWER ASAP!
This is the first and final warning, sorry everyone, but I'm tired of waiting, our goal was for december 24th, if Lee hasn't finished and put up the website by then, I suppose we'll have to go without him and release amsn 0.95 on the old website :(

Removed.

Thanks,

Here's the TODO list for the website from what I previously had :

1 - waiting for Vivia to do and upload all screenshots to the wiki (almost
done)
2 - update wiki page for webcam (refer to one of my mails, I have it
flagged so ask me to forward it if needed)
3 - review FAQ and set it in the wiki (didn't get time to read the FAQ yet
:S)
4 - finish up poll system for website (is it complete and 100% usable ?)

Usable, just a few minor annoyances which will be fixed once Diego
sends me an updated version.

yeah.. I guess so, I just don't know if it works because it seems my ip is blocked "already voted"...

5 - set everything up in the website, make sure all works and upload to SF

what I would add is :
Lee, please upload everything you have to SF into an htdocs/new directory,
so we can already try it on SF servers...
Please update the skins/plugins/screenshots images in the website

Have been updating... a few more left.

yeah, I noticed that (winskin wasn't correctly shown though + some others didn't have the correct screenshot) but now it seems it's good BUT there are no screenshots anymore :P I guess you're working on it.. keep it up!
can you also please upload to SF servers ASAP...

We need to add an Autopackage download for linux...

Added, waiting for the correct filename and package upload to sf so i
can provide a valid link.

all files are uploaded to SF already.. the link is :
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/amsn/$filename?download
where $filename is the filename you want to request.. you can get the list of all the filenames through my mirror :
http://kakaroto.homelinux.net/amsn/
so, if you want the mandrake rpm, you see in my server the list of files, you find the mdk.rpm and insert the filename in the link it gives you this link :
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/amsn/amsn-0.95-1mdk.i686.rpm?download

you can update the website now with the correct links..

We have a 64bits section in the website for downloads... who wants to do
all packages for 64 bits.. and IS it necessary ???
Update the website to make it integral... for the moment, there are still
some links refering to the old site (Language flags on the right for
example)

Fixed language flags.

now, the langs don't do anything.. can we have language support for tomorrow ? :S remove the languages until we have them working and until we have the website translated... also, the links should redirect to the current website with the ?new-lang=.. param...

Upload all skins and plugins to the SF release system... (NEED a list...)

Yes! we need a list and we need to document all of this so we don't
have to go through this next release period.....

we have a skin maintainer, he'll provide the list, we're already documenting all we need to do in a release

When adding links to the wiki, at least document them in the Pending
Documentation Additions or add a link on the main page... it took me a
while just to find the skin installation guidelines. I don't have
time to hunt for important things like this.

pending documentation additions is for things to document, it's the TODO for docs, it's not about links in the wiki.. if you want that, there's somewhere a place to list all the pages in the wiki, it was really easy to find btw, click in the wiki in the folder icon (or '+' sign) next to the 'Wiki' item, then in the list, click on 'list pages'... and the skins install guide, you just need to do a search for 'skin'..

~Lee

I think that's all FOR NOW... if anything is major, please add it to the list, if we have something minor, add it too, but we'll probably have to
make sacrifices and have a half-perfect environment on the release..
(example, wiki for webcam could wait after the release before it gets
updated.. anyways, users get the last version with the link...)
