Good advice and thanks for taking the time out to help. I finally figured it
all out and it is now working fine. The problem with my dates not rolling
over was that I had changed formats of my log files on 02 Apr to include
extended informaton (the browser info). Analog ver 2 didn't seem to mind
this and just put the browser info in. But on the next day I started using
version 3 and it didn't process any log entries from the day I started
adding browser info to them. I took all the log info out from the previous
format and all was well.

This explains both why the date was rolling forward and the browser info was
missing. Thanks again to those who helped out.

All is well down here in +10UTC land (Canberra, Australia).
