Steven, thanks for your response to my "Thoroughly Confused" query. On
those questions my mind is now at ease.
However, something is still not right. Analog does not appear to be
looking at 'analog.cfg.' Following your suggestion, I invoked analog as:
./analog >> /home/sites/home/www.teachout.org/log.index
The output went where it was supposed to; but no images. In analhead.h I had:
HTTPDIR "/usr/src/"
ANALOGDIR HTTPDIR"analog/"
IMAGEDIR ANALOGDIR"images/"
I changed IMAGEDIR to IMAGEDIR "/usr/src/analog/images/" and ran make again.
No change when invoking the above redirection.
Then I tried changing things in analog.cfg. My first four lines now are:
IMAGEDIR /usr/src/analog/images/
LOGFILE /home/sites/www.teachout.org/logs/access
OUTFILE /home/sites/www.teachout.org/web/log.html
HOSTNAME "Teachout Organization"
Invoking ./analog puts log.html where it's supposed to be using the correct
logfile - but still no images.
I tried moving the IMAGEDIR line below the HOSTNAME; but that made no
difference.
(Double checked. The directory /usr/src/analog/images/ is there - and
contains analogo.gif and all the 'bar' images.)
Suspect I'm missing something REALLY obvious.
