I looked at the docs, and I failed to find many helpful examples of what
can be done with the HOSTEXCLUDE directive. I've also checked the list
archive with little help.
This is what I'd like to do:
Platform: Linux Mandrake 7.1 kernel 2.2.15
Analog version: 4.11
Log file format: IIS with dates turned on. No dns resolution (anywhere,
not even in the logs)
What I'd like to filter: This is a list of ip's from our domain I'd like
to filter out.
192.168.45.193 - 222 inclusive
10.1.175.33 - 62 inclusive
192.168.239.129 - 158
The best way I can think of specifying an exclude would be like this:
192.168.45.192/27 or 192.168.45.192/255.255.255.224 (these are the same)
10.1.10.175/27 or 10.1.175/255.255.255.224
192.168.239.128/27 or 192.168.238.128/255.255.255.224
OR do I have to list each ip by itself on a line like so:
HOSTEXCLUDE 192.168.45.193
HOSTEXCLUDE 192.168.45.194
Etcetera....
I need to filter out these ip's because our developers are skewing the
numbers of hits to our site by a factor of more than 30% (at least I
THINK)
Any help woud be appreciated. Thanks
