Just to clarify a few point so nobody is confused.

I think you meant "Notepad," but I'm sure we all figured that out.

It must be a text file, but if you add the '.txt' extension, then you'll have to
tell analog (on the command-lin, as below) what the _complete_ file name is
(even if windows hides the .txt extension, Analog needs to know what it is).

analog -G +gconfig.txt
You need a capital 'G' to ignore the standard config (analog.cfg in the current
working directory) and a lower case 'g' to include another config file.
