Look, if you want daily and hourly statistics, why on earth are you
creating a monthly log file and complaining that it's inefficient to rerun
analog multiple times to get the mini-stats that you're looking for? There
are no significant efficiencies in creating a single large log file rather
than multiple smaller ones, and there can be big inefficiencies if you
want to break down the data.
To insist that Analog be changed, instead of configuring your web server
to produce more useful log files is unreasonable, particularly when the
particular measurement you're looking at isn't even particularly
meaningful.
