You have to : - first add those two tags to your header - THEN, change accordingly all your PLAC tags.Done that before. Even without changing the header it made the geoview of ancestris ancestris find most of the communities. But it degraded the map on http://www.genealogieonline.nl/ Adding the header line had effect on the edit view, but not on the preference panel, nor on the web-site. OK Most important: add coordinates to the GedCom (like GensDataPro does) and the site will use themYeap, but if we do that, we are no longer compliant with the gedcom specifications. You don't have a gedcom tag for that.I just cited http://www.stamboomforum.nl/servicedesk/2/10826/0 Which is the helpdesk for: http://www.genealogieonline.nl/ Somewhere I think I saw mentioning version 5.5.1. which does have these tags Yes, 5.5.1 added two tags as LATI and LONG According to wikipedia : The current version of the specification is GEDCOM 5.5, which was released on 12 January 1996. A subsequent draft GEDCOM 5.5.1 specification was issued in 1999, introducing nine new tags, including WWW, EMAIL and FACT, and adding UTF-8 as an approved character encoding. This draft has not been formally approved, but its provisions have been adopted in some part by a number of genealogy programs I can't remember, but I guess we support 5.5.1 but we don't have an easy way to switch between 5.5 and 5.5.1 and vice versa. IT's on the todo list. But, we can add "personal tags" like those:I'm afraid genealogieonline.nl won't recognise them, so that isn't of any help. OK But doing that is a development. we have to add such function to an exportplugin.Help wanted :-)You started the discusion for a special export for genealogieonline.nl/ See http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00014.html I'm only the messenger of what does and what does not work for that site. Personaly I don't care much about their map so I'm not motivated. After reading your message, we spoke about what you needed, on the Ancestris IRC chanel. Maybe more to come. Popularity of ancestris for users on that site http://www.genealogieonline.nl/stamboom-programma.php Great we have a bright future so :-) everything is opened, so .... one thing : we have to work hard. That's a good challenge. Francois -- You use Ancestris? So do we - (Vous utilisez Ancestris?
