(1)I agree that PCs might be implemented in similiar way. But one of
the points is that the mobile device could be taken anywhere, anyway,
we can hardly take a PC everywhere and internet everywhere, at least
now. Here the android phone is somewhat like a control center. It's
the biggest advantage. That's why we call it a mobile solution.
For example, "Image the scenes, you are a businessman, you might open
your laptop, and want to send an emergent email, only to find there is
not any wireless network in nearby area. You are a scientist,you have
a sudden idea, but you can hardly calculate (2^30)! or draw a 3D
object graph with your phone immediately, and you try to find a
computer madly. You are a music fan, but you can take only a few good
quality music videos in your smart phone. What if we can take my
computer with me as the phone?"
(2)We have already done some work for what I mentioned above and
solved some important problem. But I do agree that it need a long way
to go, also including the market, the users' habits and thoughts, and
many things.
