Is any judged by humans competition fair?

Not to diminish the value of this competition as the recognition and
effort seen here are real, good and significant, but as beautiful as
dance is, I would rather see an adolesent girl in their formative
years playing volleyball, because vollyball is not a judged sport.
When folks focus on something other than what other people think, they
tend to be healthier in their being and in their relationships, and
they tend to contribute more because they are operating on something
real in a cooperative effort with teammates.

Yes, the judges' opinions matter, but they have made mistakes before
and they will make mistakes here. The key is making mistakes in a
hurry so you get more turns. The deadlines here have helped drive
things forward... mistakes and all.

Even if we don't win, 97% of the value of an android project is still
there. It is still a supported open platform with connectivity,
location information and managed background processes. That is enough
for our application to be useful. Everything else is gravy.
