If the application is free, does it matter if it gets distributed outside of Market?
I'd say, get your feet wet, see if you keep enjoying Android, and maybe you'll have another application idea that's worth pursuing at next level - LVL, free/paid version, the whole works. -- Kostya Vasilyev -- http://kmansoft.wordpress.com 06.10.2010 0:57 пользователь "JoelDuggan" <[email protected]> написал: I thought of that but also thought of reasons to not do it. 1) I never like it when an app that does not NEED net access asks for it. My app would be in that boat. 2) Tracking installations is a bit creepy for a simple Live Wallpaper. 3) I don't have a server infrastructure to speak of. This is a hobby for now, not a full-time job, I can't justify putting money into hosting a server just to track users. 4) If they'll hack it to pirate it what stops them from blocking out the phone home bit of the code also?
