My suggestion, as a fellow developer, is to give it some thought, rather than assuming that ads are some kind of Eleventh Commandment. In-app billing, or a separate unlocker app, seems like an easier free-to-premium migration path than two separate apps. So, losing some on the ads, you might gain some in the upsell conversion ratio. As an Android *user*, though, I really dislike apps with ads.
